- Add cooked rice, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom (if using), and salt to a large microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave for 3 minutes, then stir well.
- Microwave 2 minutes more and stir again.
- Microwave 1 to 2 minutes, until creamy and thickened. Let stand 1 minute.
- Stir in vanilla extract and serve warm or chill before serving.
Notes
Tip: Use a large bowl to prevent boil-over and stir between bursts for the creamiest texture.
