Ingredients
  

Base
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels fine crumbs + small pieces
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Topping
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil optional, for smoother melt

Equipment

  • 8x8-inch pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method
 

  1. Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix crushed pretzels, peanut butter, maple syrup, melted butter, and vanilla until thick.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the pan in an even layer.
  4. Melt chocolate chips (and coconut oil if using) in the microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
  5. Spread melted chocolate over the base. Chill 1 hour until set, then slice into squares.

Notes

Tip: For clean slices, chill well and warm the knife under hot water before cutting.
